WISDOM FAQ

General Information

YES! WISDOM can be accessed from any device with a mobile browser, including smart phones, tablets, computers, and some gaming systems!

No. WISDOM will display the same file type that is uploaded and has no conversion option for Word Docs.

You will want to use the “Save As” feature in WORD and choose to save the document in PDF format prior to uploading to WISDOM.

  1. Open your Word Doc
  2. Click FILE in the top left corner
    file
  3. Click SAVE AS
    save as
  4. Decide where on your device’s storage you want the new document version saved
  5. Change the FILE TYPE to PDF
    pdf
  6. SAVE

You should now have a PDF version as well as the WordDoc and will want to upload the PDF to your WISDOM site.

Not every device comes with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and some students may not be able to access non-compatible formats.

In an effort to give every student the same access you want to be sure and convert every document into a universally compatible format such as PDF so, no matter what device a student is using they can still access every document.

Yes! Every teacher has the ability to give their Course(s) an Alias to better help you identify a Class Period or Separate Subject, other than using the SIS Course Description.

You can find the step-by-step instructions for adding Course Aliases here: https://support.gabbart.com/portal/kb/articles/giving-your-course-an-alias

When we receive all of your files we will upload all classes and class rosters simultaneously.

If there is a delay with any portion of your files (missing a campus) we will upload what we do have so you can get started and you will have access to those classes and those rosters. We will add the remaining rosters and classes when the additional files are received.

YES! Any user can adjust their Accessibility Settings, including the option to enable the Read Highlighted Text function.

You can see the full article on adjusting your Accessibility Settings here: https://support.gabbart.com/portal/kb/articles/edit-accessibility-settings

Of course! This is set by the Teacher in the Assignment/Exam Options.
